The Nigerian Army has affirmed the retirement of some senior officers from administration taking after the endorsement of the Army Council.
An announcement issued by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, on Saturday, June 11, said the endorsement was affirmed at the meeting of the chamber on Thursday.
In spite of the fact that Usman did not reveal the quantity of officers influenced, he said their retirement depended on administration exigencies.
"The Army wishes to illuminate the overall population that a significant number of senior officers of the Nigerian Army were resigned from administration yesterday.
"Those resigned were for the most part some real commanders, brigadiers-general, colonels, lieutenant-colonels and a noteworthy.
"Their retirement depended on administration exigencies,'' the announcement said.
It reviewed that in the no so distant past some officers were examined for partisanship amid the 2015 general decisions.
Usman further said the retirements were associated with the examination by the Presidential Committee exploring resistance contracts.
He said some officers had as of now been charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Usman prompted people in general not to peruse the improvement outside of any relevant connection to the subject at hand
